What Is a Furnisher?

A “furnisher” is simply any company that sends information about you to the credit bureaus. The information a furnisher sends in on a consumer to the credit reporting agencies appears on the credit report and that is called a “tradeline”.

Examples:

  • Credit card companies
  • Auto lenders
  • Mortgage lenders
  • Banks
  • Utilities
  • Collection agencies
