Mark O'Connor: Founder

Mark O'Connor: Founder

Mark O’Connor has nearly 30 years of experience in automotive litigation. He began his career defending manufacturers, working for two of the premier automotive defense firms in the country. For the last twelve years, Mark has used his experience and expertise to represent consumers. During that time, he has actively litigated hundreds of automotive cases, successfully defending consumers in fraud actions, warranty actions, and injury-related product liability actions.

Having both successfully prosecuted automotive companies and defended automotive companies, Mark is uniquely able to represent consumers. Not only does he possess extensive legal and technical knowledge in automotive law, he is an impassioned and effective trial lawyer – able to distill complex issues and theories into language that a jury can easily understand.

Mark tirelessly advocates for his clients, and his attention to detail is second to none. He is the accomplished trial attorney that you want on your side.

Rebecca Goethal

Rebecca Goethals: Office Manager / Paralegal

Rebecca started with O’Connor Law Group in 2011 after moving back to her hometown of Laguna Beach from a stint on the east coast and abroad for graduate school. What started as a part-time job to pay back school loans, quickly turned into a natural fit with the team and environment of the law firm. While her right brain continues to work after hours with her photo and graphic design clients, the left side of her brain craves the fast-paced and detailed oriented environment of civil litigation.

When Rebecca is not in the office managing day-to-day activities, she works alongside the trial attorneys to make sure they are fully prepared to bring home a victory for our clients.

Prior to working at O’Connor Law Group, David taught creative writing at UC Riverside and National University. He is also the author of two books: Mountain Bike! Orange County and The Stand-Up Paddler’s Guide to Southern California.

Working at the law firm has been a significant departure from writing and teaching, and the process of starting a new career has been both challenging and rewarding. One of the most exciting aspects of being at O’Connor Law Group has been witnessing the results achieved for the firm’s clients.

Outside of work, David enjoys a myriad of sports and outdoor activities including windsurfing, mountain biking, surfing and stand up paddling. He is often tired at the end of the weekend.

Kristin Arndt: Paralegal

Kristin started working with O'Connor Law Group in September 2018 after moving to California to be closer to her family. A transplant from Kalamazoo, Michigan, it was only natural that she would move to Chicago after college. Kristin began working at a nationally recognized law firm as a data entry worker in 2010 - it was quickly recognized that she had a head for more work than data entry, and within her first month was trained in-house to be a paralegal in the claims department. During her 8-years at the law firm, her tasks and responsibilities continued to grow, and she was even asked to be part of a small team to help developers write new software for the company.

Working at OLG has been a welcome change from working at a large personal injury firm. Kristin feels her work here is more rewarding than it has been elsewhere, and truly feels like part of "Team OLG.”
